We are thrilled to introduce several new features in V-App Backup & Versioning designed to enhance your experience and give you greater control over your Meraki environments.
Whether you’re a current user or exploring our solution, here’s what’s new:
1. Automated Webhook Configuration
Setting up webhooks for automated backups has never been easier. Webhooks can now be automatically configured and deployed directly from the Preferences page.
2. New Scheduler with Tag-Based Backup
Our updated scheduler allows you to select and backup your networks based on tags configured in Meraki. You can also choose to include or exclude configuration templates, all from the Preferences page.
3. New API Rate Widget on Dashboard
Monitor your API usage like never before! A new widget displays the API rate over the past 24 hours, along with a zoomable graph for the last week. This helps you identify the optimal time to schedule your backups based on actual Meraki API usage.
4. Enhanced Manual Backup Flexibility
When performing manual backups, you now have the option to select “no network,” focusing only on the organization level. You can also choose to exclude configuration templates if necessary.
5. Advanced Search in Backup List
Easily find backups containing specific networks with our new Advanced Search feature, directly accessible from the backup list.
6. Backup Abort Feature for Power Users
Power users and managers can now abort ongoing backups, especially when high API usage could impact other applications.
7. Export Warnings as CSV
When encountering Backup/Restore Warnings, you now have the ability to export these warnings as a CSV file for easier review and documentation.
8. Separation of Settings and Preferences
We’ve reorganized the interface for easier navigation:
- Settings now includes only Meraki-specific configurations.
- Preferences holds options for OTP setup, notification email configuration, scheduler settings, and webhook configurations.
9. Organization Backup Now Includes Inventory and Licenses
When performing organization-level backups, both the inventory and licenses are now included, giving you a comprehensive snapshot of your organization.
